After the customary prayer (by Hrishika and Sneha Matrubai) and inaugural speech (by Chandrabhanu Jinde), the Education Seminar by Swakula Chetana at Sri Sadguru Anathaswamy Ashrama started with the most eligible person to do, Dr.M.R.Rajashekara.
Dr.M.R.Rajashekara is a BE Civil from RVCE and ME Highway
Engg from UVCE.
He was a Lecturer in RVCE for 26 long years and then moved
to MINDS as a Professor for 3 years and later on moved to Atria Institute of
Tech and was the Professor & HOD Civil Engg Dept and is presently
Professor, Department of Civil Engg, Dayananda Sagar College of Engg.
Dr.Rajashekara chose the most vital topic of HOW TO PREPARE
FOR EXAMINATION.
Dr.Rajashekara started his presentation with a request to “Attend the classes regularly and be attentive
listening to the lecturers words carefully. Just being physically present is not enough.
Your attendance should be with full concentration with any distraction. Just
this much will do more than half the job for you in the far away exams”
Dr.Rajashekara pleaded with the students to “Read the syllabus repeatedly from the start of the academic
year and not leave everything towards the end of the year . Avoid last minute
cramming”.
Dr.Rajashekara emphasised the need for . “Targetting small
goals and achieve them stage by stage which builds self confidence slowly and
steadly”
Dr.Rajashekara also stressed the importance of monthly tests
and mid term exams and urged the students to "take these tests and mid term exams seriously as this will
help you reduce anxiety”
Dr.Rajashekara impressed the students with his simple tips
and urged the students to “Review Previous Question Papers” as this builds
capacity to answer better in the Exams and with confidence”
And finally, before closing he gave a Tip to students saying “Avoid repeating answers just to impress the examiner. Now a days, Answer sheets are scanned and the examiner will not fooled by your lengthy answer”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
