Give your family the BEST gift....

Srikanth Shankar Matrubai's article published in SWAKULA CHETANA magazine 9th issue

Recently,  a women came to my office. She had been widowed just about 2 months back. She was a young lady in her late 20s. She had a 3yr old kid and was also 5 months pregnant now.

In the one where his mother was the nominee, I helped her in completing the tedious legal formality and establish her right and helped her receive the claim.

I keep seeing these types of stories where the Breadwinners pass away without putting the right nominee, etc and putting their dependents in a financial mess.

The whole purpose of buying insurance is to ensure that your loved ones face the minimum possible hardship if something happens to you. Therefore, the purpose of buying a policy is defeated if you provide wrong or incomplete information.

The moment you have some financial asset, you should nominate. It could be a bank account, a mutual fund, a bond, insurance or shares.

As far as possible, an investor must nominate in a way that the chances of dispute are low. This would primarily be in favour of his wife, children and parents. He can make multiple nominations and specify the percentage that each nominee would be entitled to. If he is nominating his minor children, he also has to specify the guardian. It may require a little work in terms of estimating the sum that he would like each dependant to have and the associated paperwork, but it would ensure that the benefit of his investment reaches the people that it is intended for.

To avoid any confusion, better nominate the right person in each of your insurance/investments.

But don’t worry, if you have nominated a wrong person. You can change the nomination anytime!

If you are a husband, father, son, wife, mother, daughter, please show your financial love. It is far, far better than all the red roses, birthday cards, Valentine's Day cards and gifts that you can shower.

Do not turn their grief into anger. Grief they can overcome, anger they burn. I have seen three cases of young deaths, where the grief is gone, the anger is still there!

The way out: either hold it jointly or if you can't do that, nominate someone.

Regards,
Srikanth Matrubai

HOW TO MANAGE YOUR EXAM TIME

Sri.Shankar Sarode spoke on the MOST important topic of "how to manage time in exam hall".

~ 5 minutes for filling in personal data and marking the OMR sheet (175 left)

~ 45 minutes at the most for your strongest section  (at least 125 left)

~ 45 minutes for your weakest section (35 minutes left)
~35 minutes to review your test and make sure everything is in order
